Emerald Hare is a family winery founded in Napa Valley, Calistoga, California by husband and wife, Scott and Essie Michelle Carey. Scott is a certified sommelier and Michelle is a chef trained in farm-to-table French culinary arts.

The winery produces authentic Northern California wines utilizing premium winemaking techniques and methods that capture the unique terroir of each source vineyard. Emerald Hare selects prime vineyards in Napa, Sonoma and Lake County to create the pinnacle expression of Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay and other varietals from these legendary growing regions.

In addition to their passion for crafting fine wine, Michelle and Scott hold a strong appreciation for fine art. The couple commissioned famous American artist Steve Penley to paint The Emerald Hare, the unique and original label art for the winery.
